In a see-saw scoring game that saw two lead changes, Vako scored early in the 11th minute, while Chris Wondolowski notched a brace in the second half to give the Quakes a lead, only to have it blown thanks to two late goals by Adama Diomande and João Moutinho notching a stoppage time game winner. Former Quakes defender Steven Beitshour returned home scoring a first half goal and assisting on the late Diomande tally. Thanks to Wondolowski’s goal he has now scored against every MLS team, including the Quakes–coming off his stint with the Houston Dynamo (4 career goals). He has 138 careet goals, with seven goals behind Landon Donovan’s all time tally of 145.
