Friday News

Some reports to share for the weekend.  Next up, the Quakes made a quick road trip to LA to face the other team that started play this year after a 3 year “hiatus” at the Banc of California Stadium.  Kickoff is Saturday at 12:30pm and will be shown on Univision.  This is the first of two road games with the second one next weekend on Saturday September 29 at Houston.

Also, the 2019 US Open Cup begins with two Oakland teams facing each other.  The Oakland Roots (in the form of the Oakland Leopards) and the Oakland Stompers (which is connected to the NPSL East Bay club) face off at Burrell Field in San Leandro Saturday at 7pm.  Admission is free–and support local soccer.
