This week 10-1-18

An eventful weekend from all over the Bay Area.

The SFSFL semis saw Olympic Club win over Club Marin 5-4 while Mezcala defeating SF Vikings 3-2. The SFSFL Premier championship kickoff is 10:30am Sunday October 7 at Boxer Stadium with Olympic Club meeting Mezcala for the title.  There is a preliminary match super early with Azteca FC (2nd place Major Div) playing Metropolitan (1st Div champs) at 8:30am.

In UPSL action Real Salt Lake wins over the Oakland Stompers 1-0. JASA Redwood City defeated San Ramon Dynamos FC 6-1.

Also last Thursday Jimmy Conrad was introduced as the Technical  Director/Associate Head Coach for the Glens.  The Examiner has their take on the presser.

The Quakes blow a 2-0 lead and lose to the Houston Dynamo 3-2.  Chris Wondolowski scored a goal (143rd for his MLS career) to move closer to the all-time MLS scoring record (145 goals by Landon Donovan).

Also FIFA 19 was released last week for all platforms, and the covers tend to get more attention especially in local markets.  The Quakes put Danny Hoesen on the cover and it’s available for download and print.

We will be there this Saturday October 6 at 7:15pm for the match against the Red Bulls.
