It was a busy weekend all over the Bay Area. On Saturday we were at the Maltese Pigeon awards ceremony at Standard Deviant. As the flagship of SF City if it is an event or match we’ll most likely be there. We were also at the final game of the season at Avaya Stadium with a bonus in Redwood City with JASA hosting San Leandro in UPSL action. Right now, we are upping the ante and increasing our caseload of matches to cover especially in the lower flight. Even in the off-season we will be posting classics from the vault and the so-called “Hot Stove” where if anything Quakes or Bay Area soccer related is announced it will be reported here.
Also there was action over the weekend with the US Open Cup, with the Stompers defeating Real San Jose 2-0 at Raimondi Park, and JASA Redwood City beating Napa Sporting SC 3-1 at Sequoia High School. The next round schedule in November will be the Stompers hosting Academica SC on November 17 7:30 pm at Raimondi Park, while JASA Redwood City will hit the road to Portland, Oregon to play IPS/Marathon Taverna on November 18th at 7pm.
We won’t be finished ever but we will be posting news of note from November until training camp. Stick with us for updates, and with some fun material from the vault.
