This Week 1-28-19

We’re off with the Monday morning highlights. First off the USA game against Panama at Glendale, Arizona. The match had Bay Area relevance with Nick Lima on the roster. The Quakes defender finally earned his first cap with a start and played the full 90 minutes in the 3-0 win over Panama. He factored into the scoring with an assist on the second goal by Walker Zimmerman in the 80th minute. The US men’s team will play their second match of the series this coming Saturday at 12:30pm against Costa Rica here at Avaya Stadium.

Also, our friends at the Beautiful Blog finally have an update and it’s on the latest effort to bring a USL team to the East Bay with the proposed stadiu to be right off the Concord BART station.
