The Quakes and Reno 1868 squared off in a friendly at the Biggest Little City in the World with the USL Championship affiliate coming out on top 3-0. The match was merely a tuneup for both teams as they prepare for their respective regular seasons.

The NPSL Stompers had a friendly against UPSL side Real San Jose in pre-season action in Oakland and the home team came out on top 5-2.
Some sad news. If you followed the 1994 US World Cup team he was one of their key defensive cogs. Not local, but of historical note given that one game here back on the 4th of July. Also, from the old Quakes team of 1983-1984 when they were called the Golden Bay Earthquakes and a member of the 2005 Hall of Fame along with US teammates Marcelo Balboa and John Harkes.
