MLS is Back – Update

The Quakes finally have their preliminary Group B schedule set

They kick off their schedule on Friday July 10 against Seattle at 7:30pm PT on ESPN.  Their other game against Vancouver will be played on Wednesday July 15 at 7:30pm PT on TUDN before concluding group play on Monday July 20 against FC Dallas at 5pm.

MLS has changed the  tournament knockout round criteria where the top three teams from Group A, the six-team group, will advance to the Knockout Stage presented by Audi. Those three teams will be joined by the top two teams from the remaining five groups, as well as the next three highest ranked teams from the Group Stage presented by Heineken (the fourth-placed team in Group A is eligible to advance) based on points, goal difference, goals for, fair play points.

Though the coverage is San Francisco Bay Area based, on the Monday reports (“This Week”) we will post information and highlights from the matches.
