The latest has the Quakes playing a pair of matches, plus an update in the schedule. On Thursday they suffered their most humiliating defeat losing to the Seattle Sounders 7-1. The lone tally was a penalty kick goal from Chris Wondolowski in the 71st minute. His tally extended his career scoring record to 163 goals.
The second game was a more respectable result when the Quakes and the LA Galaxy played to a scoreless draw. The match was the first league match played between the two teams at Earthquakes Stadium since 2017.
Last week the extended schedule was announced with 3 more games added. The Quakes will play the Portland Timbers at home twice, with their makeup match this Wednesday at 6:30 pm and another Saturday at 7:30 pm.

Also the Roots play to a 1-1 draw against Cal United Strikers at Irvine in Southern California. The Beautiful Blog has the highlights.

Our good friend Quakesfan has another post–please check him out. Right now the Quakes have only managed one point which was against Colorado at home. The regular season is a marathon and not a sprint and because Matias is a very good tournament coach his style may not fit well for a 6 to 7 month season schedule. In any case, the deets are better explained there, along with the gang at The Beautiful Blog.
