Our highlight is the Quakes/DC game with the home team winning their second in succession with a 4-1 victory. For their efforts Cade Cowell was named the Player of the Week for Week 3–he won’t turn 18 until October is the third youngest (born in 2003) to be honored next to Santino Quaranta (born 1984 in 2001) and Freddy Adu (born 1989 in 2005) of DC. Another accolade that was earned was being part of the MLS Best XI for Week 3 for the second time in as many games, having been honored for his performance against Dallas.
