This Week 3-14-22

Our coverage this week was at Redwood City with Bay Cities on Saturday and at San Francisco with the City reserves on Sunday.

The Quakes lose to the Philadelphia Union 2-0 on the road, and are still winless in their 2022 season–with only a draw to the Crew as their only tangible result.  They hope to get into the win column at St. Paul against Minnesota United on Saturday March 19 at 5pm.

Quakesfan has the critique on the Quakes swing against Philly.  It is a hard look at the team right now but we will be honest–it is worth the academic read in the classic columnist/editorial style.  Once more the team could be in for a very long season after only three games.

Roots lose their opener on the road at Rio Grande Valley Toros 1-0.  Jon at the Roots blog has his takes on the match.  Next up is another away tilt at Memphis before the home opener on March 26 against Monterey.
