In their first ever meeting the Quakes lose to Miami 1-0 thanks to an early goal by Jean Mota in the 12th minute. The game also marked the MLS debut of goalkeeper Matt Bersano in the second half.

The Quakes now embark on a Texas road swing with games at Austin on Saturday August 6 and at Dallas a week later on August 13 both starting at 6pm while Montreal continue their road trip at Montreal this Saturday at 4:30pm.
