Quakes v LAFC

The Quakes win 2-1 over LAFC at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara thanks to a brace from Cris Espinoza.  His goal in the 8th minute gave the team an early lead but Denis Bouanga evened the score with his tally in the 30th minute.  Thanks to a penalty kick goal by Espinoza with 8 minutes to go in the second half the home team handed the defending MLS Cup champions their first loss of the season.

This game marks the first match since July 2018 when they played against Manchester United, and in a league match since May 2015 against Orlando City.
