The Quakes score early in the first half with a goal from Roberto Hategan in the 5th minute while Eduardo Blancas extended the lead three minutes later to give the Quakes reserves a 2-0 lead. However, it was MNUFC2 that came back to draw even with goals from Kameron Lacey in the 42nd minute and Emmanuel Iwe in the 71st.
The Minnesota reserves ended up with the extra point to settle the tie with Geremy Rodas clinching the win to give his team a 9-8 victory.

Next up for Quakes II is a road trip to Tacoma to face the Sounders Next Pro affiliate Defiance on Saturday September 9 at 7:30pm while MNUFC2 returns home to play Austin FC II on Sunday September 10 at 3pm.
