Quakes v Roots (US Open Cup)

After five years since the Roots debut in 2019 they finally meet the Quakes in a match that counts in the single elimination US Open Cup.  The match goes to the San Jose who defeat Oakland 1-0 with a late second half goal from Ousseni Bouda.

The Quakes fielded mostly reserves although Jackson Yueill was a second half substitute while the Roots lineup contained a mix of their main team and reserves.  New signee Dom Dwyer was present with the team but did not play.
