In the last league game before the Olympic break, Bay FC was hoping to gather momentum in the playoff race for the first year team. However, they stumbled out of the gate and never recovered as they lose to the Washington Spirit 3-0. Makenna Morris scored early in the 4th minute with an open strike into the box followed by a penalty kick goal from Trinity Rodman in the 21st minute. Ouleymata Sarr gave the visitors an insurance goal with her second half tally in the 57th minute and the victory.
Both teams had their Olympic team players honored after the game with Rachel Kundananji representing Zambia, Asisat Oshoala for Nigeria, and Lysianne Proulx for Canada. The Washington Spirit players were also honored with three players from the USA: Trinity Rodman, Casey Kruger, and Hal Hershfelt for the USA, and Gabby Carle joining Proulx for Canada.
