The Quakes win with convincing fashion with a 4-1 win over the Portland Timbers. Cristian Espinoza led the team in scoring with his brace tallying two goals in the 16th and 24th minutes. Chicho Arango added to the scoring sheet in the 27th minute while Ousseni Bouda provided one last insurance goal in the 88th minute. Felipe Mora provided the lone score for the Timbers in the 42nd minute.
The Quakes have a quick turnaround hosting USL Championship side Sacramento in the US Open Cup on Wednesday May 7 at 7:30 before heading on the road to play Colorado in league play on Saturday May 10 6:30pm start. The Timbers also have a short turnaround with an Open Cup match at MLS Next Pro side Tacoma Defiance on Tuesday May 6 at 7pm before returning home to face Sporting Kansas City on Saturday at 7:30pm.
