This Week 8-4-25 – 3pointsport

El Farolito falls short in their quest to repeat as NPSL National Champions. We have some highlights from our friends Doug Zimmerman and Michael Koenig at Soccer Bay Area. Also we’ll give Doug props for his photo coverage of the match for the NPSL website, along with Favian Renkel going from his regular MLS (re: Lionel Messi) beat and writing about the match in which Hickory FC of North Carolina pulls off a major upset and handing the defending champions a defeat on the road in the game that mattered most.

Bay FC returned to league play hosting Houston Dash. The team appeared to grab three important points but can only split the two with a 2-2 draw. Doug again at Soccer Bay Area has the take on what the team needs to do in their second half run.

The Quakes took the weekend off, as did the Roots. They both return home this weekend with San Jose hosting Vancouver and Oakland playing Colorado Springs.

The Town FC get a win on the road, and they return home to Moraga Saturday to face Vancouver 2 kickoff at 4pm. Note the new day and time the game has been moved from Sunday to the day before.
