The Town FC defeated North Texas SC 3-0 in the first round of the MLS Next Pro Playoffs at PayPal Park. Max Floriani gave the home team the lead with his 32nd minute strike off the corner kick. Missael Rodríguez gave the team their second goal with his 48th minute while Nick Fernandez’s strike off a deflection in the 82nd insured the victory for the Quakes second team and eliminating the junior FC Dallas squad from further play.
The Town FC will await their next round opponent, with St. Louis 2 as the higher seed picking first with the team getting the other. The game will be scheduled for Sunday October 26 at PayPal Park.
Update 10/23: The match will be against the Colorado Rapids 2 and will be scheduled on the aforementioned night at 6pm.
