Last week, we checked out a soccer match at the Crocker Amazon basketball court in San Francisco. While the park is known more for its soccer fields it was a futsal style match that provided the backdrop for a street event reminiscent of street basketball.
SF City fielded a team that went to the championship round against Mozzarella Di Bufaria and while the match was fast paced, the teams traded goals and the lead before they defeated City 13-10 and taking home the title, and discounted pizza. While the team fell short, the culture was the true winner with players trading skills and tricks to the trade.
For those wanting to go outside of the box, this would be the event to attend. Stay tuned here for Bay Area soccer news from the top flight to the lower leagues.
