BREAKING NEWS

This is probably the biggest hot stove news of the offseason.  The San Jose Earthquakes sign German forward Timo Werner to a Designated Player contract that will go from this upcoming year, the 2027 truncated, and the upcoming August 2027 to June 2028 seasons.  The team has billed this acquisition of the Red Bull Leipzig (Germany) player as “the biggest signing in history” and has been of stature since the team acquired Landon Donovan in a co-sharing arrangement with German club Bayer Leverkusen 04 back in 2001.
