This Week 2-16-26

The Quakes finish off their training camp with victories over Portland 3-2 on Wednesday and NYCFC 2-0 on Saturday.  The team came back from a 2-1 deficit to get the game winner thanks to second half goals from Nonso Adimabua and Paul Marie who got the go ahead strike.  Preston Judd got the opening goal in that match.

Ousseni Bouda gave the team the lead with his 71st minute goal, with Niko Tsakiris getting the penalty kick tally in the 87th.  While the games were the only unofficial meeting of Charlotte and New York City this season, the Quakes will play the Timbers on May 23 on the road and September 26 at home.  Next up is the start of the 2026 season hosting Sporting Kansas City with Bruce Arena at the helm for the second year and a new lineup highlighted by Timo Werner.

Bay FC land another player, and potentially their future star in Claire Hutton who was acquired from Kansas City Current in exchange for $1.1 Million. The team gets an evolving US National Team player and one named to last year’s Best XI. The club begins their third season on March 14 against Denver Summit.

The USL League Two schedule was announced last week and for now we’ll post the select fixture of dates:
