The Quakes were handed another defeat in the post World Cup season with a 3-1 loss to St. Louis City at PayPal Park this past weekend. Daniel Edelman scored 8 minutes early, but Simon Becher’s goals in the 27th and 55th minute were enough to propel the visitors to the win. Beau Leroux gave the Quakes a comeback with his second half goal 2 minutes into the start of that frame, but it was not enough to catch up as the team remains winless since July 22 with 3 losses and a draw against the LA Galaxy.
The Quakes have two games on the weekly schedule with a road trip to Carson to face the Galaxy on Wednesday August 19 at 7:30 before returning home to face Minnesota next Saturday August 22 7:30 start. St. Louis continues their schedule on the same days with another road game at Kansas City on Wednesday at 5pm before returning home to host Houston on Saturday at 5:30pm.
