The Quakes finally get a home win in the second half of the season with a 1-0 win over the Houston Dynamo. Franklin Munie’s strike in the box in the 38th minute was enough to secure the win and the series for San Jose. Angus Gunn finally earned the victory and shutout with his 5 saves and facing 11 shots with a late kick save to get the full three points. The Quakes are now in 4th place with 41 points and are on a 4 game unbeaten streak with 2 draws and 2 wins, while Houston and Dallas are tied for 2nd with 43, and Vancouver leading the west with 46.
Next up for the Quakes is another home game with Levi’s Stadium serving as the venue with the opponent being LAFC next Saturday September 19 at 4:30pm, while the Dynamo will return home to face FC Cincinnati on the same day 5:30pm start.
