SF City gets a lead but could not hold on thanks to Monterey Bay getting a second half equalizer resulting in a 1-1 draw.
Issac Sandoval scored the first goal with his attack in the box in the 35th minute giving the home side the lead, and cruising for the full three points but it was Carlos Medina who drew even for the Monterey Bay second team with his game tying goal in the 77th minute. There was a goal for SF City that was called off despite crossing the line, but the draw felt like a loss for them while for Monterey stealing a point on the road was a victory for them in an otherwise dismal season.
City gets one more game at redemption this Wednesday July 9 when they host Roots B outfit Project 51O at 7pm for one last run at Kezar. Monterey Bay 2 closes out their schedule at home when they host Marin FC on Saturday July 12 at 6pm.
