Bay FC breaks a scoreless draw with a 1-0 win over Houston at PayPal Park. Cristiana Girelli came off the bench in the 62nd minute to net a dramatic goal that rebounded off the post and struck into the net late in the game to account for the one score. Her 89th minute strike was her first for the team. Jordan Silkowitz earned the clean sheet with her 10 saves in what was a goalkeeper battle against her counterpart Jane Campbell, who had 6 on her own end.
Next for Bay FC is a road match to Washington to face the Spirit on Sunday August 31 at 9:30pm, while Houston head up to Seattle to play the Reign on the same day with a 4pm start.
