Bay FC lose to Orlando 3-1 on Sunday despite coming back from an early deficit. Haley McCutcheon scored first one minute into the game for the Pride while Racheal Kundananji scored a header into the net in the 11th minute to draw even. However, McCutcheon struck again early in the second half to gain back the lead with the home team playing catchup for the remainder. Lizbeth Ovalle came off the bench to play in the final 27 minutes plus stoppage time to get the insurance goal and sealing the full three points on the road.
The game was a return of sorts for Marta, who played for the old FC Gold Pride in 2010 and played 63 minutes. The battle of Zambia internationals Kundananji and Barbra Banda of Orlando was a competitive affair with the aforementioned goal and Banda having an assist on Ovalle’s strike.
Bay FC returns on the road to face Kansas City on Saturday October 3 at 3:30 pm while Orlando returns home to host San Diego on Friday October 2 at 5 pm.
