SF City v Fresno FC U23s

The Fresno FC U23 team continued their series domination of SF City with a 3-1 win at Kezar Stadium.  Alvaro Nogales opened the scoring for the team formerly known as the Fuego in the 26th minute, and they held on to the lead for the entire match with additional goals from Johnny Rodriguez in the 59th minute and Diego Casillas in the 64th. A penalty kick save from Fresno FC kept City from the tally board in the 75th minute, but they found the net 2 minutes later thanks to substitute Ashish Chatta, who entered the game moments earlier. The loss leaves City in last place in the group with only 7 points, and with 4 games left in the season.

Of note was SF City donning the LGBT Pride jerseys for the second straight year.  The team announced online that the limited edition match worn kits will be auctioned on eBay to benefit the AIDS Legal Referral Panel, which assists people in the Bay Area with HIV/AIDS maintain or improve their health by resolving their legal issues through free and low-cost legal services.

Next up for SF City is another Sunday match against PDL debutants Santa Cruz Breakers July 1 at 2pm.  The Zorritos will return home to host Ventura County on the same day at 4pm.
