In a match to kick off the national USL League Two Schedule, SF City picked off where they left off last year with a road trip to Santa Cruz. With the game held under the Friday Night Lights they scored a quick goal in the 3rd minute followed by another in the 20th to give a 2-0 halftime lead. The Breakers scored a goal in the 75th minute but it was the only one they would have for the night. Thanks to an insurance goal in the 78th minute SF City gets the 3-1 victory.
