Our coverage was at San Francisco and a postponed game in Oakland. First up was a tilt between El Farolito and FC Davis in which the visitors got off to a quick lead and never looked back with a 5-1 win. Next up was supposed to be the USL Championship debut of the Oakland Roots against rival Sacramento Republic FC but the field conditions (block panels of grass) were deemed unsafe resulting in the match not being played. Sunday’s game was at the Beach Chalet between the SF City B team and SF Corinthians with City hitting big with a 7-3 win.
