Also, Sunday’s Quakes match marked the end of a very illustrious career for Chris Wondolowski.

‘He’s welcome.’ Alexi Lalas’ classic response to calling Quakes’ Wondo a ‘flash in the pan’ in 2010.

The Roots blog has their playoff takes with the match at El Paso and the upcoming games in the USL Championship with the Roots playing at Orange County.  With this club–this is We Believe on the pitch as a nod to the 2007 Warriors playoff run.

And Quakesfan has their take on the naming of Chris Leitch as General Manager.  He now begins the challenge of returning the team to prominence in the wake of Wondo’s retirement.  Also the one item is who will coach the team and which players leave/stay in 2022.

We didn’t forget the college highlights.  Thank you Mike at Soccer Bay Area.
