The Quakes win over the Timbers in a 1-0 extra time thriller in the US Open Cup. Jack Skahan’s goal off a deflection in the 117th minute sent the team advancing to the quarterfinals. Their next tournament opponent will be Austin FC at home on Tuesday July 8.
Both teams will resume league play over the weekend with the Quakes hosting Houston at home on Saturday at 7pm, while the eliminated Timbers will continue their road trek to Orlando on the same day at 4:30pm.
