The Quakes were handed their first loss of the season with Seattle defeating them 1-0. Paul Rothrock accounted for the only score with his 20th minute goal. The match was the first start for Designated Player Timo Werner, who came off the bench the last two games.
The Quakes now return to the road to play Vancouver on Saturday March 21 at 7:30pm while the Sounders will also play the very same opponent in CONCACAF Champions League play on Wednesday March 18 8pm at home. Their next league match will be against Minnesota on Sunday March 22 at 11:30am.
