The Quakes get a 1-1 tie in Colorado on Saturday. Earl Edwards Jr. made nine saves, and Dave Romney scored the equalizer in the 57th minute to get a point on the road. Next up in their playoff chase is another road game this time at Salt Lake City on Wednesday before returning home to host Nashville on Saturday with the team in contention to make the post-season.
Bay FC was off this past weekend due to the international break, but not without a major hot stove move. Racheal Kundananji was dealt to Chicago for $700,000 in cash in what is considered a rebuild move for next season with both teams at the bottom of the table. In three seasons she compiled 12 goals in 63 appearances for Bay FC. The team will resume their remaining schedule with a home match against Portland this Sunday.
With the season winding down, and the likelihood of PayPal Park hosting the Quakes’ first playoff game at the venue and the first match since 2012 stay tuned for more news.
