Quakes v Real Salt Lake

Ousseni Bouda’s free kick goal two minutes into the game and Benji Kikanovic’s 17th minute strike in the run of play gave the Quakes two quick goals.  Real Salt Lake cut the two goal deficit to one with Juan Sanabria adding to the score sheet in the 23rd to account for the final score of 2-1 and a home victory in the last regular season game of the year.

Earl Edwards Jr. took over the starting reins for the Quakes and made 4 saves with the team playing two home games in a week, drawing even with Colorado a few days earlier 2-2. The win places the Quakes in third place in the standings behind second place Dallas and first place Vancouver with one game left against Minnesota on Saturday November 7 with three points on the road coupled with other results assuring the team of a top 4 ranking.
