For the weekly recap we have the summary of the Quakes and Bay FC from our friends at Soccer Bay Area:
A home playoff berth looms and the Quakes are still figuring out who they are
After another losing season, Bay FC’s Silkowitz says: “I’m tired of f–king learning the same lessons. It’s going to change.”
The Quakes get a much needed draw against Colorado 2-2 and a 2-1 win against Real Salt Lake to close out their home half of the 2026 season. Next up for them is their final league match on the road at Minnesota on Saturday with a win assuring them of at least a top four ranking and hosting a possible extra home game in the first round. A drop to fifth and there will be only one home match to begin the schedule.
Bay FC closed out their 2026 campaign with a 1-0 loss to San Diego. The team will be making some roster decisions from now until February when their season will start with the Women’s World Cup to be held in Brazil in the summer of next year. We’ll be adding some hot stove news as they are announced with the first one made recently with the deal between Bay and the Chicago Stars as reported by Soccer Bay Area.
For now, enjoy this series from @ryuji_shoots who covered Bay FC’s match against Portland on October 18. More to come on this page.
