The USL Championship schedule was announced earlier, while the remaining lower league fixtures from the NPSL, USPL, and League Two will be reported at a later date.

This Week 1-8-24

We kick off 2024 with a pair of matches from NISA Nation’s Southwest Premier division with South City hosting Dublin Celtic and Club Tepa playing Modesto City.

The Quakes announced more roster moves with players coming in and leaving for other clubs.  Before the holidays the team acquired Preston Judd from the LA Galaxy in a rare deal between the two rivals.  The move ends Matthew Hoppe’s loan from Middlesbrough.

Alfredo Morales comes in from NYCFC and TommyThompson rejoins the team with a new contract.

Jonathan Mensa departs for New England and Nathan heads to Seattle.  Judson signs a deal with Avaí FC in his native Brazil–all three players end their tenure with the Quakes.

Also an update from the draft on December 18:

The Quakes select defender Jamar Ricketts from Cal State Northridge in the first round (13th overall), and add two local products with midfielder Beau Leroux from San Jose State (2nd round 42nd overall) and forward Riley Lynch from St. Mary’s in Moraga (3rd round 71st overall).

New NWSL side Bay FC will have their chance to add players from the college draft on Friday January 12 at 4:30 pm.  J-Town Pizza in San Jose and Richmond Republic in San Francisco.
